As of the end of June 2018, 1,138 coal mines have been approved (approved) and started construction nationwide (including 96 simultaneous reconstruction and transformation projects of production coal mines), with a total production capacity of 976 million tons/year, and an average production capacity of 857,600 tons/year for a single mine. The production coal mines are slightly lower, but among the newly built coal mines across the country, 11 coal mines have reached a capacity scale of tens of millions, becoming the most favorable guarantee for China's future coal resources!

 

1. Ordos: 10 million tons of coal mines under construction in China

Of the 11 10 million-ton coal mines under construction in China, 8 are located in Inner Mongolia, including 6 in Ordos City and 2 in Xilin Gol League, with a total production capacity of 114.4 million tons, accounting for 11.72% of the country's total new production capacity.

2. 30 million tons of reconstruction and expansion of coal mine: Shengli East No. 2 open-pit mine

Shengli Coalfield is located in Xilinhot Baoligen Sumu, 3KM away from Xilinhot City. In 2006, Shengli Coalfield was included in the second batch of nationally planned coal mining areas announced by the Ministry of Land and Resources and the Development and Reform Commission (2006 No. 1 Announcement). Shengli East No. 2 Coal Mine is one of the open-pit coal mines planned by the Shengli Mining Area.

 

The open-pit mining area of Shengli East No. 2 Coal Mine has reserves of 5.3 billion tons, which is the largest coal mine in a single coal field in China. It is rich in lignite resources and is high-quality coal for power and chemical use. At the same time, Shengli East No. The thickness of the coal seam is 320.65 meters, which is the thickest coal seam found in the history of coal development in the world, with the deepest mining depth of 623 meters, which is the world's largest mining depth in open-pit coal mines.

 

Shengli East No. 2 Open-pit Coal Mine adopts the most advanced coal stripping mining technology recognized internationally, that is, semi-continuous mining with single bucket-truck-removable crusher-belt conveyor. The first phase of the project started in September 2007, with an annual production scale of 10 million tons. The second-phase project currently under construction has an annual production scale of 30 million tons, which is the largest open-pit mine in China. The long-term production scale is 60 million tons a year, and will then become the world's largest open-pit mine.

3. Yili No. 1 Mine-Signal of Xinjiang Coal Rise

Yili No. 1 coal mine has reserves of 4.8 billion tons, and the conditions for coal resources are superior. The thickness of the coal seam is large and the burial is shallow. It belongs to medium and extra thick coal seams. All coal seams are low-weaving bituminous coal, mainly non-stick coal and long flame coal. , Low sulfur and low ash, is a good coal for power, gasification and coal chemical industry. The mine has an annual production capacity of 10 million tons and a total investment of 2.586 billion yuan.

Yili No. 1 Coal Mine is located in Qiongbole Township, Chabuqal Xibe Autonomous County, Xinjiang. It is Xinjiang’s first 10-million-ton mine approved by the state and started construction in September 2009. The construction of this project is of great significance for Xinjiang and Yili to implement the strategy of transforming advantageous coal resources.

Xinjiang has a wide variety of minerals and large reserves. 138 minerals have been discovered, of which 9 are the first in the country in reserves, and 32 are the first in Northwest China. Coal is one of the most advantageous mineral resources in Xinjiang. The total resource is estimated to be about 2.2 trillion tons, accounting for 40% of the country, ranking first in the country. Xinjiang has a complete variety of coal, mostly low-sulfur, low-ash, and high-calorie high-quality coal , And coking coal accounts for about 9% of the total reserves.

Xinjiang's coal resources are mainly distributed in the Zhungeer area, Hatu-Barkol area, West Tianshan area and the northern edge of Tarim.
